Artifact Donations
The Pennsylvania National Guard Military Museum showcases items and weapons from the Civil War to the Gulf War, as well as items that depict the history of the Pennsylvania National Guard and Fort Indiantown Gap. The Pennsylvania National Guard Military Museum uses artifacts for exhibits organized and displayed in the Museum, for exhibits organized and displayed in the community for educational purposes by our staff and volunteers, for loans to other reputable institutions, as well as for research by students and historians. Objects not on exhibit or loan are placed in secure humidity, temperature, and light controlled storage areas within the Museum.
If you have objects that you are interested in donating to the Museum please contact the museum at (717) 861-2402. Have information regarding the items, their age or the conflict they are related to, their connection to Pennsylvania, your contact information and if possible photographs of the object ready.
Please do not send any objects until a member of the Curatorial staff contacts you. Because of space limitations, the Museum does not accept unsolicited artifacts through the mail.
Artifacts are only accepted as unrestricted gifts and if the owner wishes to place specific conditions upon their donation (i.e. display guarantees, terms of loan, etc.) it will not be accepted.
