History:

The new armory expanded the base in Hamilton Township to accommodate the U.S. army's Stryker Brigade Combat Readiness Team. The old armory is on Grant Street.

Commander of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Maj. Gen. Jessica Wright rededicated the Chambersburg Readiness Center on March 11, 2010. Although the centers was complete before then, Chambersburg celebrated its opening after the return of the 56th Stryker Brigade from its deployment to Iraq.
