PA Monuments - Clarion County

  • Clarion County Veterans Memorial Park

The Clarion County Veterans Memorial Park is located across from the County Courthouse. The park contains memorials from many conflicts in our nation's history. The park also features a monument to POW/MIA's that was placed in July 2001. It contains the ashes of a "watch fire," a symbolic fire that is burned until the last patrol returns to base camp, signifying all of those who are missing in action or are prisoners of war. This monument was dedicated during a visit of the "moving wall" a travelling verson of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
