- Potter County Courthouse Memorial
Located behind the Potter County Courthouse is a modest memorial to all veterans of all wars. It is surrounded by vegetation and its inscription reads "Our freedom lives on in peace, defended by their heroism."
A towering obelisk in memory of the Potter County soldiers who died during the Civil War stands just behind the veterans memorial. This monument features an extensive "Roll Of Honor" listing all the names of the war dead from 1861 to 1865. The names are sorted by township and cover all sides of the monument, emphasizing the war's heavy cost.
