In Monument (or Market) Square at point where U. S. 219, Center Street and Meyers Avenue meet.

An engraving near the front top of the base reads:

LEST WE FORGET

The inscription on a plaque reads:

IN THANKSGIVING TO GOD FOR VICTORY

THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED IN HONOR OF THE
MEN FROM MEYERSDALE AND VICINITY WHO
SERVED IN THE WORLD WAR AND IS DEDICATED
AS A SACRED MEMORIAL TO THOSE WHO DIED
THAT LIBERTY AND THE IDEALS OF OUR COUNTRY
MIGHT BE PERPETUATED.
